A magnitude tremor 4.7 was recorded this Monday morning in San Francisco de Macorís and was felt in several places in the country, including the National District.

After the Tremor:

Avoid using the telephone, except in emergencies since itTelephone lines may be saturated.
Caution with gas and electricity: If you smell gas or see downed power lines, leave the area immediately and notify authorities.
Stay informed: Listen to the news for the latest updates and follow instructions from authorities.
Prepare an emergency kit: Having a kit with non-perishable food, water, first aid kit, flashlight, battery-powered radio and other essential supplies can be a great help.
