The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported that the tons of humanitarian aid sent by Venezuela were received by the city of Damascus in Syria, for those affected in Lebanon.
Gil, through his Telegram account, reported that the first shipment of food, medical and relief supplies donated by citizens and the national government for those affected in Lebanon, affected by the bombings, was successfully received this Sunday.
“This is the first shipment of a solidarity bridge that we have established to support people fighting for a better future,” he wrote on the aforementioned digital network.
It is worth remembering that this Saturday, the Venezuelan Government sent almost 14 tons of humanitarian aid to Syria and Lebanon, a donation that responds to a call launched last Monday, October 7, one year after the current Israeli genocide against the Arab nations began.
Since October 7, a collection center was activated at the headquarters of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, located in the Yellow House in front of Plaza Bolívar, where thousands of Venezuelans deposited humanitarian supplies destined for Lebanon.
