Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office reports the discovery of five decapitated people in Ojuelos

Jalisco Prosecutor's Office reports the discovery of five decapitated people in Ojuelos

“A report was received indicating that, on the asphalt strip of the road (…), there were several bags that appeared to resemble a human silhouette,” the prosecutor’s office detailed in a statement.

Upon heading to the site, National Guard agents found five bodies of men wrapped in black plastic bags. The bodies were only wearing pants and were decapitated.

Near the scene, authorities found another bag, apparently containing the heads of the victims, whose identities have not yet been determined. “The area has been processed by experts from the Jalisciense Institute of Forensic Sciences,” added the prosecutor’s office.

The municipality of Ojuelos borders that of Lagos de Moreno, known for having been the scene of numerous violent events related to organized crime.

One of the most notorious cases was that of five young people who disappeared on August 11, 2023, whose torture and murder was later revealed in a video spread on social networks, which caused consternation in Mexican society.
