The declaration, made after a ceremony in Jaén (Cajamarca) where bonds were delivered to people affected by the forest fires, also included that those arrested for said crime be imprisoned in the Challapalca prison, intended for highly dangerous prisoners. .

“You have to call things by their name. Let’s not use any words to gloss over the problem, we have a problem of urban terrorism in Peru and we have to appease it. A fraternal invocation to the Congress of the Republic to please accelerate and approve as soon as possible,” he said.

Likewise, he justified the urgency of his request by alleging that “urban terrorism” exists in the country. “We are respectful of the separation of powers, but there are issues that are common to all Peruvians and in this case facing urban violence is a task that calls us all together, we must all close ranks in this fight, but this means that we all collaborate from our areas of action,” he indicated.
