HOLY SUNDAY.– From last Friday the 11th until next Tuesday October 15th, leaders of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) participate in the regional training sessions of the electoral commissions, municipal, electoral constituencies and municipal districts, who will direct the election of the new members of the Central Committee, a process scheduled for next Sunday, October 20.
The members of the Organizing Committee of the X Ordinary Congress Reinaldo Pared Pérez, with the support of the Secretariats of Electoral Affairs and Liaisons, have distributed themselves to give the training workshops.
Last Friday the event took place in San Pedro de Macorís, aimed at the provinces of La Altagracia, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, La Romana and the host, San Pedro de Macorís.
On Saturday, the sessions were scheduled in San José de Ocoa and the northeast region including the provinces of María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez and Hermanas Mirabal, and in the Southwest including the provinces of San Juan and Elías Piña.
Training workshops for the electoral commissions were scheduled for Sunday in the provinces of Bahoruco, Independencia, Barahona and Pedernales, as well as on the Northwest Line for the provinces of Dajabón, Santiago Rodríguez, Montecristi and Valverde.
On Sunday, October 13, the Organizing Commission of the X Reinaldo Pared Pérez Congress also scheduled electoral training for the provinces of Santiago, La Vega, Puerto Plata and Espaillat.
On Monday afternoon at the Reinaldo Pared Pérez National House, training was scheduled for the members of the electoral commissions of the National District, Santo Domingo province, Monseñor Nouel, Monte Plata and San Cristóbal.
The training sessions conclude next Tuesday with workshops to be held in the Previa and Azua provinces.
The Regulations for the Election of Members of the Central Committee govern the internal election process of the PLD, which is guided by the Instructions for the Voting Process and Transmission of Result.
