The director of Civil Protection of Táchira, Yesnardo Canal, warned that temperatures above 39.3°C have been recorded in the entity, a situation that keeps the population of that state worried.
Canal, in a video broadcast by Impacto Venezuela this Saturday, October 12, pointed out that although the country is still in the rainy season, these high temperatures have been perceived for at least a period of 15 days, especially in border areas. . He added that the thermal sensation has been around 45 and 46°C.
He asked the population in Táchira to be constantly hydrated and to eat well before leaving home, just as he warned that the forest fires reported in the urban axis are presumably provoked, which contributes to the rise in temperature.
“We must be very attentive, there is vegetation, medium-low, with dry grass that we have been able to visualize. For those who live in urban areas and polygonal areas with this type of vegetation, we recommend carrying out the corresponding maintenance,” he indicated. .

He pointed out that, according to monitoring carried out by Táchira Civil Protection, there are high temperatures during the day but at night they tend to decrease. In addition, he warned that people who suffer from hypertension or have some other cardiovascular disease are the most sensitive to this phenomenon.
“The attention due to this situation has increased, as a result of the high temperatures that generate concern in the community of Tachira. We are ready to attend to any eventuality that arises for the person who is day after day on the main road arteries,” he said.
Yesnardo Canal highlighted that, although there is heat, precipitation with hail has been recorded in the mountain areas and north of Táchira.
