The Dominican Industrial Society Group (SID) announced yesterday the investment of more than 150 million dollars in its different companies in the Dominican Republic to expand and modernize them during a ceremony headed by President Luis Abinader.
When pronouncing the central words of the activity in which several company facilities were inaugurated, Ligia Bonetti Du-Breil, executive president of Grupo SID, informed that they will make new investments in distribution centers in the three regions of the country, as well as new plants for the production of margarines, mayonnaise, refining and extracting oil, among many others, reaffirming the commitment and confidence of this company to continue developing the industrial potential of the Dominican Republic.

“On this 85th anniversary, we reiterate our commitment to our country and the trust we place in our authorities,” said the businesswoman, who stated that Grupo SID’s investment plans will mark a before and after for both that business group and the sector. industry, not only for the Dominican Republic, but also for the region’s industry.
Before inaugurating the Ernesto Vitienes Lavanderos Medical Unit, which will carry out more than 9,000 consultations a year, and the Enrique Armenteros Rius Dining Room with the capacity to feed 2,500 collaborators daily, with a joint investment between both facilities of more than 150 million pesos that will benefit to the collaborators of their companies, Bonetti Du-Breil highlighted the company’s commitment to the country.
“Our productive investments in companies are the true manifestation of the commitment we have to the generation and preservation of jobs in the Dominican Republic,” said Bonetti Du-Breil, who also reported that Grupo SID in 2021 alone made investments for more than 1.2 billion pesos in machinery, equipment, heavy and light industrial vehicles, new infrastructure and improvements to existing ones.
Commitments to health, education and sports
The executive president of the SID Group highlighted that this company also has commitments related to health, education, sports, the environment and the cultural development of the country, items, which, as she explained, were invested in 2021 more than 225 million pesos .
