Dina Boluarte fills PRAISE to Ollanta Humala: "Without political pettiness we must recognize the good"

La mandataria calificó como un buen gobierno al hecho por el expresidente.

President Dina Boluarte led the 2025 convocation ceremony of the Beca 18 program this morning. During the event, it was reported that 20 thousand scholarships aimed at higher education will be awarded.

In the midst of her participation, the president referred to former President Ollanta Humala to thank him for being a promoter of this student benefit.

“Since its creation, Beca 18 has benefited 96 thousand young people in vulnerable situations; and without political pettiness, the good must be recognized, the bad must be criticized, and the good must be improved. Therefore, from here, I want to send a greeting to former President Ollanta (Humala) who was the promoter of the 18 Scholarship in his government,” the president highlighted.

He considered that the former head of state “did good things for the country” during his mandate.

“The rulers who love the country, the rulers who love the Peruvian families, we also have to recognize those who came before us and did good things for the country, but also criticize those who have done bad things. That is why it is that we are investing more in Beca 18, because we are convinced that changing the history of our country is with education,” he added.

Boluarte also called for unity to defeat crime (against which he has not yet taken any radical measures).
