More than five million 867 thousand people with anti-COVID-19 booster doses in Cuba

Five million 867 thousand 673 people have a booster dose against COVID-19 in Cuba, the Ministry of Public Health reports today.

According to the agency, of that figure, 278,200 people received the additional vaccine as part of clinical studies, and 5,589,473 in the booster vaccination that is being applied to the population of selected territories and risk groups.

They have the complete vaccination schedule (with the Cuban immunogens Soberana 02, Soberana Plus and Abdala), nine million 871 thousand 746 people, which represents 89.1 percent (%) of the population.

Until this February 21, 10 million 601 thousand 59 people had received at least one dose, of which nine million 368 thousand 759 have received a second dose, and a third, nine million 46 thousand 835.

In sum, 34,884,614 doses of nationally developed vaccines have been administered in the country.

Cuba has so far accumulated one million 66 thousand 927 patients diagnosed with COVID-19, of which 98.9 percent (one million 55 thousand 626) have recovered.
