The coordinator of Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado, sent an audio this Saturday, October 12, via social networks addressed to the country’s teachers where it asks them to “be ready and prepared” to be the “protagonists” of what will be a new educational system of excellence; once the transitional period for which you work is consolidated.
Machado highlighted that teachers “represent the great hope for the change” that is needed in Venezuela and pointed out that, despite experiencing difficult situations to continue their work such as low salaries and poor conditions for teaching, they have protected students for years. children and adolescents, especially the “systematic attack of the system that sought to change the history” of the nation and the “inverse values” that “seeked to annihilate the relationship between effort and achieving achievements.”
For this reason, the political leader believes that these teachers suffer the “attacks of a regime that knows that without education there is no freedom.”
He stressed that there are many teachers who share food with students or who buy materials to teach with their money, as well as recognizing that they are witnesses of how the country’s educational system is progressively deteriorating.
María Corina Machado then highlighted that teachers “have been emotional and spiritual support” for students and their parents, while asserting that their figure stands as a reference and example to follow.

«Venezuela needs you firm, determined and organized, sowing hope and confidence in your classrooms and communities. In this new Venezuela that is emerging, teachers will be the backbone of society,” he stated.
In that sense, he highlighted that once there are changes in the country’s administration, its conditions will improve. They will be “well-trained, paid, with social security as they deserve,” just as he highlighted that the teaching profession “will be the greatest honor and responsibility” in a society that aspires to be built based on knowledge, innovation and merit.
He promises that the “best public education system in the world” will be built and highlights that the teachers were “decisive” in the results – according to the Venezuelan Command – of the July 28 elections in favor of Edmundo González Urrutia.
«Raise your foreheads and voices and be proud of your vocation (…) In the free Venezuela that arrives soon you will be protagonists of the construction of a world-class system, because we will be the envy of the planet. Our kids will be able to compete with anyone from another country. We will train them with advanced skills, knowledge and values. We will have trilingual students, because they will speak Spanish, English and digital language so that they emerge and are owners of their future,” said Machado.
