An important change in Sheinbaum’s conferences is in the “Women in History” section, which will be held on Thursdays and aims to recognize the women who have participated in the history of Mexico.
Finally, on Fridays, it will present the “Suave patria” section, which is dedicated to highlighting facts about citizenship and moments “that make us feel proud of being Mexicans,” he explained.
AMLO’s conferences
With López Obrador, the morning conferences inaugurated the thematic sections. In his last conferences, the former president followed this order: on Mondays, the Federal Consumer Prosecutor’s Office (Profeco) announced the prices of fuel in Mexico and pointed out the gas stations with the highest prices. This section was called “Who’s Who in Fuels?”
That day, a report on the progress of government works was also presented.
On Tuesdays, the Pulse of Health section was presented, where health authorities reported on the covid-19 pandemic, vaccination programs and progress in the implementation of the IMSS-Wellbeing model, among other topics.
Thursdays were dedicated to the “Zero Immunity” section, where authorities from the Ministry of Security and Citizen Protection presented the achievements in terms of arrests of criminal leaders, homicide figures and drug seizures.
López Obrador also had the section “Who is who in the bots?” to display possible disinformation campaigns on social networks.
