Santo Domingo.-The Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (INDOTEL) and the Directorate of Border Development, held a meeting with businessmen and radio broadcasters from the northwest line, to seek a solution to the radio interference generated by Haitian stations in the national territory.
The meeting was led by the president of Indotel, Guido Gómez Mazara and the director of Border Development Ramón Pérez Tejada, who listened to the concerns of the radio broadcasters in the area.
The president of Indotel proposed to the broadcasters the formation of a technical table, with the aim of finding solutions to the issue.

“From now on, with this participation effort, let’s leave here with the commitment that a commission visit Indotel, to go out with the institution’s technical team to solve the problem,” he emphasized.
In addition, the official stated that he will promote a message on stations in the northwest identified with democratic and Dominican values, which promote national identity in its inhabitants.
“The issue of interference and regulation of the radio spectrum is also an issue of national identity, and in light of that I came to listen so that together we can all build a solution,” he said.
For his part, Pérez Tejada said that for a long time along the entire border, interference in the radio spectrum is a situation that is becoming increasingly complex and unbearable.
“This is not just a business issue, it is a national issue, it is an issue of nationality, of security, that covers so many aspects of life, that one day had to be taken into account,” the border official said.
