Petrópolis resumes monitoring of covid-19 after storm

The Petrópolis Health Department has already resumed updating the covid-19 data monitoring panel in the municipality. According to the city hall, repairs had to be made to equipment so that technicians could gain access to the panel’s data, which could only be done at the secretariat itself. “In the period, nine deaths due to covid-19 were confirmed and included in the database of the Municipal Health Department”, informed the prefecture, in a note.

The Secretary of Health, Marcus Curvelo, said that the information guarantees more transparency and knowledge to the population. “The transparency of this data is important for the population to be aware of the real situation in the municipality, especially at a time like the one we are experiencing, such as the occurrence of this tragedy in the middle of the pandemic.”

According to the daily bulletin Epidemiological Panorama of the Secretary of Health, which was released again this Tuesday (22), Petrópolis closed the period between the 15th and yesterday with 9.84% of the occupancy rate of clinical beds destined to the treatment of covid-19 in the public health system.

In intensive care units (ICUs) of the Unified Health System (SUS), the rate was 19.64%. In the city’s health network, including public and private hospitals, there are 31 inpatients, 11 in clinical beds and 20 in ICU. The teams of the Health Department carried out 247,276 tests until yesterday, of which 62,651 were positive and 185,930 were negative, considering the type swab and the fast ones.

Deaths

According to the Health Department, since the beginning of the pandemic, Petrópolis has recorded 1,614 deaths from covid-19, a number that is updated in the bulletins only after the registration of the death certificate and the result of the patient’s examination in the Epidemiological Surveillance system. done by administrative team.

“It is a security measure of the Health Department, to avoid errors in the records”, noted the folder.

Vaccination

Yesterday the teams of the Department of Health applied 920 doses of vaccines against the disease – 659 were boosters, 29 of the second dose and 232 of the first. Of those immunized, 46 were elderly and two received the booster dose.

“The teams also administered the first dose to 15 adolescents and the second to 14 subjects aged 12 to 17 years. 203 children aged 5 to 11 years were also vaccinated with the first application. A further 611 adults were vaccinated with the booster, 15 with the second dose and 14 with the first dose.

Total vaccinated

According to the secretariat, in Petrópolis, 256,108 people have already received the first dose, 227,923 the second, and 108,773 the booster. The number of those who took the single dose since the beginning of the campaign is at 6,805 and of immunosuppressed people who received the additional dose, at 1,312.
