Extortionists demand S/ 20,000 from the head of the SIS in Sullana

The president of the Board of Directors of the La Beneficencia de Sullana Society and head of the decentralized office of the SIS, Jaime Juárez Cossio, denounced that it has been that through calls and messages they have been intimidating him with killing him, along with his family, if he does not pay them the sum of 20 thousand soles.

The official explained that the intimidation began last Thursday from the cell phone number 993098412.

“(On Thursday) I received a first call at 10:37 in the morning in which they told me: ‘We are going to kill you. You are the one with the niches (of the San José cemetery). Given this, I immediately cut off the call and blocked the number,” said Juárez Cossio.

He added that after almost two hours, they sent messages again, but through WhatsApp. “They sent a message on WhatsApp where I saw a video where they raked a firearm and said (in the video). Don’t be… We want the 20 thousand soles. Then I closed it, deleted it and blocked this number on WhatsApp,” he said.

Given this, he indicated that he filed the complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (Depincri).

He even reported to the Police that they would come to follow him up. “In addition, I have narrated that (on Thursday) I had a meeting with the mayor (of Sullana) and I went out around 7:30 at night and I saw an individual with a hat and glasses talking on a cell phone on my sidewalk. housing,” Juárez emphasized.

“I filed a complaint and I have narrated (to the National Police) everything that has happened and they have given me all the respective facilities. In addition, they sent the document to the Prosecutor’s Office to inform them. Furthermore, asking for guarantees,” indicated the president of the board of directors of the Charity Society of the province of Sullana, who is also president of the 105 charities nationwide.

Let us remember that cases of extortion have been increasing in recent weeks in Sullana, where gangs calling themselves “La Gran Hermandad”, “Los Malditos del Norte”, “Gordo Gerald” and others intimidated their victims with calls, messages of WhatsApp where they ask them for 10 thousand, 20 thousand and even 30 thousand soles so as not to attack their lives and they have even detonated explosives in their homes.
