The new ANSES requirement to maintain or manage assignments

The Government has implemented a new measure that modifies the requirements to maintain allocations from the National Social Security Administration (ANSES). This decision, published in the Official Gazette through resolution 918/2024, establishes that benefits and assignments will be suspended or terminated if the beneficiaries do not comply with the requirement of permanence in the national territory.

The resolution, signed by the owner of ANSESMariano de los Heros, specifies that people who spend more than 90 consecutive days outside the country will lose the right to receive these benefits.

This measure seeks to exercise more rigorous control over non-contributory social security benefits and the allocations administered by the organization, ensuring that beneficiaries meet the residence requirement in Argentina to obtain and/or receive these benefits.

The main objective of this regulation is to guarantee that social benefits reach those who really need them and who meet the established requirements. The measure also responds to the need to optimize State resources and avoid possible fraud or abuse in the social security system.

The implementation of this measure has generated various reactions in society. On the one hand, some sectors consider that it is a necessary measure to ensure transparency and efficiency in the administration of social benefits.

The resolution also establishes that ANSES will carry out a control and audit process to verify compliance with the residency requirement.

Regarding the allocations affected by this regulation, they include non-contributory pensions (PNC), the Universal Child Allowance (AUH), the Universal Pregnancy Allowance (AUE) and other social benefits administered by ANSES. The measure seeks to ensure that these benefits reach those who really need them and who meet the requirements established by law.
