The start of the double track from Tarariras (route 22) to Riachuelo (Route 1) is being prepared. “It is in charge of the Ramón Álvarez company, which is the one that works on the entire route 21, said Edgard Collazo, attached to the Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP), José Luis Falero.
The “24 kilometer” double track will take “a year of work, it is a big project with a new bridge.” And for the next five-year period, “the double track of Route 1 from Riachuelo to Colonia del Sacramento will remain, because the times do not allow. The project of the route made along the old road remains so as not to remove the paleras,” the leader told EL ECO.
Columns and luminaire
The concrete columns are being removed and placed “high-impact,” which means that “if a vehicle hits them they will dismantle.” Thus they reduce the magnitude of an accident. “The concrete columns that are being removed are given to institutions for lighting playing fields.”
In terms of lighting “we are a little behind, many have been installed throughout the country and now a new purchase was made to continue moving forward.”
