During a police-military operation, they seized 145 cartridges of different calibers that were found in the areas of the company Aquacultivos de Occidente CA (shrimp farm), located in the San Luis sector, Baralt municipality (San Timoteo), Zulia state.
Such information was aired on his social networks by Domingo Hernández Lárez, head of the Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Ceofanb).
Hernández Lárez specified that the procedure is part of Operation Battle of Niquitao 2024. During the operation, Rolando Rivera, representative of the aforementioned company, was detained.
During the inspection, the officials seized a bag that was hidden in the green areas with criminal material, including a drone, 145 Armusa brand 12mm caliber cartridges, 12 portable radios and nine chargers for said devices.
“There are norms and institutions that regulate the possession of weapons and explosives, only the State may possess and use them,” Hernández Lárez clarified.

In the El Callao hamlet, Crespo municipality (Duaca), Carlos Javier Marín was arrested for alleged illicit possession of war material, according to military sources.
214 cartridges were confiscated from Marín, including 95 intended for 7×57 mm caliber rifles, according to a report from Detachment 121 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
The bullets were hidden in a plastic container.
In another procedure, military agents raided a home located in the Bello Monte sector, Maracaibo (Zulia), where they seized a 12-gauge shotgun, which presented a request registered in the Municipal Delegation of the Cicpc of the capital of Zulia, for which generic theft crime; six 12 gauge cartridges, a telephone set and various documents.
Likewise, the arrest of Anthony Jesús Ahmar Makhoul, present in the property, was made. Said raid was carried out in the presence of prosecutors with jurisdiction in drug matters, Alexander Sánchez and Almaiber Ávila, in response to an order from the Sixth Control Court of the state of Zulia, headed by Héctor Escacia, says the report from Detachment 111 of the GNB.
In the state of Bolívar, specifically in the El León sector, Piar municipality (Upata), the military seized two 12-gauge firearms, six cartridges of the same caliber, a knife, two telephone equipment, two irons for marking animals, 480 US dollars and two motorcycles without license plates.
During the procedure, Pedro Rafael Martínez Caraballo, Elvin José Arbeláez, Kewin Alexander García Zamora and Freddy Jesús Lereico Gil were detained, who were handed over to the Public Ministry for criminal prosecution for illegal possession of a firearm, according to a report from the Rural Command Detachment 62. -1.
