The most important Peruvian wine fair, the “Peruvian Wine Show” moves for the first time to Tacna to present the largest exhibition of wines from nine regions, La Libertad, Áncash, Lima, Ica, Arequipa, Moquegua, Cusco, Apurímac and Tacna.

This event will feature the participation of more than 200 wine labels made with vitis vinifera, the species recognized by the Vine and Wine Organization as the ideal grape for making quality wines.

Two days of economic boost

The event will be on Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26, from 2 to 9 p.m. at the facilities of the National Railway Museum of Tacna with the message “Peru makes wine,” which seeks to promote the gastronomic, hotel and tourism sectors in the region.

This was announced at a launch conference held at the National Railway Museum with the participation of the representative of the Professional Sommelier Wine Show Pedro Cuenca Espinoza, the deputy manager of business management of the Regional Government of Tacna Vanessa Bolaños Delgado and the representative of wine producers Hilda Cuadro from Ayca.

Participating Tacne wineries

They detailed that the Tacna wineries that will participate are Vinos Ochoa, Bodega Yupa, Viña de mis Viejos, Agroindustrias Cúneo and El Desierto.

The objective is to generate interest in small and high-quality production so that more Tacneño wines occupy a space on the menus of restaurants and hotels in Peru and abroad.

Cost of tickets to event

The event is open to the public and will cost 100 soles, which will give attendees the right to a crystal glass and a tasting ticket.

There will also be talks that will strengthen the culture of Peruvian wine and a gastronomic patio.

Attendees will be able to learn about the varieties of wines such as white, rosé, orange, sparkling red, fortified and mistelas, made with international and heritage grapes named after the first varieties brought by the Spanish and the Creole varieties born in Peruvian territory.
