The Cicpc reported on the capture of Kerlin Dávila (28), whom they point out as the person who caused the fire in a home located in Gramoven, Caracas, where two adults and a girl died.
According to the Cicpc report, this fire occurred last Tuesday, September 24, in the house located on the main street of Gramoven, Sierra Nevada sector, Sucre parish, Libertador municipality, Caracas. The flames caused the death of Zaidy Maibel Muñoz González (22), her daughter Sofía Álvarez Muñoz (4) and Yorjelis Caterine Brito (26).
The investigation by the Cicpc Claims Division and the Caracas Fire Department determined that Kerlin, nicknamed Extorción, had argued with the owner of the property where the victims were located, which served as a warehouse for mattresses for recycling.
The owner of the house complained to Kerlin about drug use in the vicinity of the house. The perpetrator immediately threatened to kill him and on September 24 he quickly entered the place, where he started the fire with a tinderbox.
Kerlin was located and detained by the Cicpc commissions, he was verified in the Siipol, a system where he is required by the 28th Control Court of the Criminal Judicial Circuit of the Caracas Metropolitan Area for the use of a firearm facsimile and records for robbery armed or disguised group, usurpation of identity or nationality and robbery of collective public cargo transport.
The man was handed over to the 36th Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry.
