Mexico's fiscal deficit will be below 6% in 2024: Sheinbaum

The Ministry of Finance has estimated that this deficit will close at around 5.9%, the highest in several decades, which has been associated with public spending destined for large infrastructure works undertaken by the previous government.

Analysts have said it will be difficult to reduce the deficit next year, even though fiscal consolidation is expected.
