TSJ and Foreign Ministry review Venezuela’s international agenda

TSJ y Cancillería revisan agenda internacional de Venezuela

The coordinator of the Special Commission on International Affairs of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Carmen Alvesdeveloped a work meeting with the Vice Minister for Multilateral Issues of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Ruben Molina; aimed at reviewing the international agenda concerning conventions and agreements of Venezuela. This meeting was held at the headquarters of the TSJ in Caracas.

The meeting allowed us to review agreements, memorandums of understanding, resolutions and agreements that required compliance or monitoring by the Venezuelan Judiciary. Likewise, Judge Alves and Vice Minister Molina reviewed priority issues for promote, reinvigorate and activate bilateral agreements between Venezuela and allied countriesin addition to considering the legal instruments relevant to each particular case.

The event promotes a space for dialogue and permanent work to address the procedures that allow the Special Commission for International Affairs of this High Court to be registered with the United Nations Secretariat; as well as the procedures necessary for the incorporation in all work groupscommissions and tables in which the participation of the TSJ is required.

The work articulated between the TSJ and the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry also contemplates the strengthening of academic training in the field of International Law; International Studies, Political Science and Research Extensions and Postgraduate Studies to hold symposiums, international conferences, opening lines of research and postgraduate studies; and generate jurisprudence.
