The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) asked companies to adopt flexible measures due to difficulties in transferring workers to their workplaces due to the transport strike announced for this Thursday, October 10.
The MTPE established a 4-hour tolerance for the entry of workers affected by the lack of public transportation.
Through a statement, the sector asks to prioritize teleworking in order to safeguard the integrity of workers, in accordance with article 17 of Law No. 31572, Teleworking Law and its regulations.
In addition, it requested that flexible measures be adopted to compensate for delays arising due to setbacks in the transfer of workers to their workplaces, according to their particular circumstances, and workers must be allowed entry to carry out their work.
They also detail that the delay time must be subject to subsequent compensation, according to what the parties agree to, and that if there are discrepancies or none, it will be decided by the employer.
“For no reason will said time be considered as unjustified delay that is subject to disciplinary sanctions.“, they conclude.
