Corrientes announced assistance of $2.8 billion for agricultural producers

The Government of Corrientes announced on Tuesday the distribution of non-refundable contributions for agricultural producers affected by the fires, for which a total of $2,800 million will be allocated, within the framework of the emergency that the province is going through.

“That implies an immediate assistance of $200 million single signature”, Governor Gustavo Valdés said at a press conference on Tuesday, announcing that $300,000 non-reimbursable will be allocated to each small producer and in the case of medium-sized producers, $500,000.

On the other hand, the head of the Corrientes Executive presented a line of credit for small producers of up to $750,000 a single signature with a one-year grace period and to be paid in 84 months.

In the case of medium producersthe line contemplates credits of up to 3 million pesos with one year’s grace, at a rate of 19% fixed a single signature and pay in 84 installments.

Meanwhile, for the largest producers large will be awarded up to 15 million pesos in credits at a fixed rate of 19% with one year grace.

According to the governor, it is a package that represents a total of $2,800 million, which is added to $800 million that the province will stop receiving from the Corrientes countryside since tax due dates corresponding to 2022 will be rescheduled by 2023.
