In the last 10 days, five people linked to the Vente Venezuela party have been arbitrarily detained. Javier Ramírez, coordinator in the Nicolás Pulido parish (Sucre municipality, Socopó) in the state of Barinas, was arrested on October 3 by PNB officials when he returned from work.
The organization Vente Venezuela denounced this Tuesday the 8th the arrest of one of its organization coordinators in the state of Barinas. This is Javier Ramírez, who has already been presented in court and accused of alleged terrorism crimes.
Ramírez, coordinator in the Nicolás Pulido parish (Sucre municipality, Socopó), was detained on October 3 by officials of the Strategic Intelligence Division of the Bolivarian National Police when he returned from work, Vente reported in a publication on social networks.
It was also noted that his appearance in court occurred without notifying his family or private lawyers. «So far, his relatives have not been able to see him and are unaware of his health situation. “We demand freedom for Javier and all political prisoners in Venezuela.”

In the last 10 days, five people linked to the Vente Venezuela party have been arbitrarily detained. At the end of September, the arrest of Milciades Ávila and Edwin Moya, both part of María Corina Machado’s security team, was announced. A day later, Julio Itriago, municipal coordinator in Anaco, was arrested, while on October 4, the training coordinator of the Anzoátegui state, Renny Rodríguez, was arrested.
According to the political organization headed by María Corina Machado, at least 154 opposition political leaders or activists they are imprisonedmany of whom held elected positions at the time of their arrest. Of that number, 41 detainees belong to Vente. Most were apprehended during the weeks before the July 28 presidential elections.
Added to these cases are 1,713 citizens who have been arrested since the elections, after the opposition denounced fraud and maintained that its candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, won the elections with more than 60% of the votes.
