The missing young man is from an area bordering Valle del Cauca and his family is asking for help to locate him.

Since last Sunday, October 6, the community of Tadó, in Chocó, has been in a state of anguish due to the disappearance of Jhon Fredy Gutiérrez, a 32-year-old man from San José del Palmar.
Gutiérrez was swept away by the strong current of the San Juan River, near the town of Bochoromá, after entering the water while he was with friends and family.
According to the testimonies of his companions, Jhon Fredy decided to bathe in the river after noticing that its waters were crystal clear. However, upon entering the river, the current will quickly sweep you away.

Despite having asked one of his companions for help, he could not help him because he did not know how to swim, and Gutiérrez disappeared in the turbulent waters of the San Juan.
The relatives of the missing person have gone to the scene of the incident and ask for the community’s collaboration to locate his body.
They have requested that any relevant information be shared through community radio station Soberana Estéreo de Tadó, to facilitate the search.
The San Juan River is known for its crystal-clear waters and its flow that can change quickly, turning a calm current into a dangerous torrent.
Although it is a vital source for the region in terms of water resources, fishing and agriculture, it also represents a risk due to its rapid currents and the difficulty of navigation in certain sections.
The community of Tadó remains alert and united in the hope of finding Jhon Fredy Gutiérrez, while the local authorities and family.
