A drunken man hit his 11-month-old son with a pot after arguing with his partner in their home located in Adrián Alley, Los Barriales sector in Guaremal, Miranda state.
The subject was identified as Cristóbal José González Huertas, 37 years old, and was detained by officials of the Criminal Investigation Service of the Miranda State Police.
It emerged from security sources that during an argument with his partner, González Huertas threw a pot at his partner, but the utensil hit the face of the baby who was sleeping in a bed in his home.
The child had several injuries and was rushed to the Victorino Santaella Hospital in Los Teques, where he received some stitches.
The baby’s mother, who reported the incident to the authorities, assured that her partner was under the influence of alcohol.
The subject will be placed under the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office.
