Electoral propaganda for the second round of municipal elections is authorized from 5pm this Monday (7). Voters in 52 municipalities will return to the polls on the 27th of this month to elect candidates for mayor of the municipalities. There is no second round contest for councilors.
With the end of the 24-hour period after voting in the first round, campaigns can once again hold rallies, walks, motorcades, marches and distribution of campaign material. Election propaganda can be made until October 26th, the day before the second round.
Election propaganda on the internet and in newspapers is also permitted from today and must circulate until the 25th of this month.
Free election hours on radio and TV will be broadcast again on the 11th and will run until the 25th.
The second round of the dispute will be held in municipalities with more than 200 thousand voters, in which none of the candidates for mayor has reached more than half of the valid votes, excluding blank and invalid votes, in the first round.
