"We have many bad genes in our country"; Trump claims that 425,000 criminal migrants have entered the US

“We have a lot of bad genes in our country,” said former president and Republican candidate for the White House, Donald Trump, about hundreds of thousands of migrants, after saying that they “poison the blood” of the United States and eat pets.

As in the 2016 electoral campaign, irregular migration across the border with Mexico is the favorite topic of Trump, whose rhetoric appears to be radicalizing as the election date approaches presidential elections on November 5.

In an interview with The Hugh Hewitt Show radio program, broadcast this Monday, Trump accused his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harrishaving allowed the entry of “murderers”.

“How about allowing people to enter an open border, 13,000 of whom were murderers, many of whom murdered many more than one person?” he commented. “Now they live happily in the United States.”

At the end of September, Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales released a letter with figures from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), according to which there were 425,000 migrants with criminal convictions living freely in the country, including more than 13,000 convicted for homicide.

Trump uses these figures to stigmatize migrants and claims that they entered the country during Joe Biden’s mandate.

In fact, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the data “goes back decades” and some entered the country “in the last 40 years.”

“You know, a murderer, I believe, is in his genes,” he declared in the radio interview. “We have a lot of bad genes in our country right now,” he added.

“425,000 people have entered our country who should not be here and who are criminals,” said Trump, who threatens mass deportation if he recovers the keys to the White House.

Since he entered the campaign, Trump has stirred fear of the migrantwith amalgamations and exaggerations of figures.

Migrants “are killing our country, they are killing our people,” “they are poisoning the blood of the country” and “they are raping young Americans,” says the former president, who coined the term: “migrant crime.”

He repeats at his rallies that “millions and millions” of migrants come from “prisons and jails, mental institutions and asylums.”

He has even compared them to Hannibal Lecter, the most famous fictional psychopath on the big screen thanks to the film “The Silence of the Lambs.”

In reality, migrant crossings through the border with Mexico have fallen, especially since June. The US border patrol accounted for 107,503 interceptions in August compared to more than 300,000 last December.

Harris accuses Trump for having boycotted a bipartisan bill that would have allowed restricting the flow of migrants and increasing the number of border agents. The hardline Republicans sentenced him to death because they considered him too lazy.
