The Minister of Development and Social Inclusion, Julio Demartinispoke about the poisoning of 20 students of educational education children in Puno who consumed food from the social program Qali Warma. In that sense, he assured that it is a case of corruption.

“The officials of the Regional Health Department of Puno (Digesa Puno) had company telephones, transfer vouchers. “It is very clear that there was corruption,” he indicated this Monday on RPP.
The Sunday newspaper Punto Final revealed that Frigoinca, a company that supplies food to Qali Warma, had paid bribes to a member of the Digesa Puno after schoolchildren were poisoned in Puno in March of this year.
According to the report, Noemí Alvarado Llanos, from Frigoinca sales, coordinated with Ronald Loza, an official from Digesa Puno, to manipulate the samples so that they showed that the food was optimal for human consumption.
“A team is going to go to the same educational institution. This cannot happen,” said the Midis head.
Demartini indicated that he has ordered the attorney to initiate the corresponding complaints before the Public Ministry.

“What was seen yesterday is a series of collusions between some Diresa Puno workers and possibly, because we have also been given some names, Qali Warma workers,” he said.
In addition, he announced that the distribution of ‘Don Ramón’ products, supplied by Frigoinca, has been suspended: “You have to respond to these events that have happened.”
The minister indicated that he has requested explanations from the Regional Government of Puno, as well as the corresponding sanctions for officials who were allegedly bribed. “The investigation unit has given us names of Qaliwarma, which as of today have been separated,” Demartini revealed.
Minsa announces investigation
He Ministry of Health issued a statement this Monday stating that it “strongly rejects and condemns any act that puts the health and lives of girls and boys at risk.”
Likewise, it indicates that “it has not participated in the analysis of products from the Qali Warma program shown in the report.”
“This responsibility falls on the Regional Health Directorates and Management, dependent on the regional governments, within the framework of the Decentralization Law,” the document indicates.
However, it announces that the Senior Management of the Minsa has ordered that a team of specialists from the Digesa carry out, in the next 48 hours, “an action to control and supervise the actions subject to complaints that have been carried out in the Diresa Puno, in order to identify possible irregular events to take action within the framework of the Law”.
