Julio Frías, Yenzy Pérez and Luis García were arrested 3 years ago by Depincri police from the Villa María del Triunfo district. They were accused of belonging to a criminal organization that was planning an assault on the Banco de Crédito del Perú. However, they turned out to be the victims of ‘Los Arteros del Sur’, police officers who were dedicated to carrying out fictitious operations using their position and asking for money.
In a report by Fourth Estate It was reported that in total there are 10 agents who for years would have operated tampering with evidencesowing evidence and using false operations to extort and condemn the innocent.

After years of investigations, on September 30, The Lima Sur Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office arrested the 10 police officers investigated for collecting bribes from detainees to prevent them from being prosecuted. This action occurred after a search operation at various police stations.
The operation was carried out in the Depincri de Barranco-Chorrillos, San Juan de Miraflores, Villa María del Triunfo and, in the region of Arequipa. In addition to the agents, 2 civilians were detained in the apartments, as part of an investigation that involves a total of 23 people in the capital and 4 in the White City.
There are at least 10 cases in which they would be involved and in each one they followed the same modality, planting evidence and recording chases and arrests.
