Natal City Hall will be contested by Freire and Bonavides in the 2nd round

Fliparacatu brings together 63 national and international authors

Candidates Paulinho Freire (União) and Natália Bonavides (PT) will contest the second round of elections in Natal. Freire had 44.08% of the valid votes and Bonavides had 28.45%. 100% of the ballots were counted.Natal City Hall will be contested by Freire and Bonavides in the 2nd round

Paulo Eduardo da Costa Freire, from União Brasil, is 60 years old and is a federal deputy. He was a councilor for several non-consecutive terms, from 1993 to 2022. In 2002, he was elected state deputy and, from 2009 to 2012, he was vice-mayor of Natal.

Natália Bastos Bonavides, from PT, is 36 years old and is in her second term as federal deputy. She was also a councilor in Natal in 2016. A lawyer, Bonavides worked with rights education and was a lawyer for the Landless Workers Movement (MST), working in camps in Rio Grande do Norte.
