Candidates Adriane Lopes (PP) and Rose Modesto (União) will contest the second round of elections in Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul. Adriane Lopes had 31.66% of the valid votes and Rose Modesto had 29.56% .
So far, 99.72% of the ballots have been counted.
Adriane Lopes is 48 years old and is running for re-election. Graduated in Law and Theology, with a postgraduate degree in Public Administration and City Management. She was the first woman to take office as mayor in 2022 and vice-mayor from 2017 to 2022.
Rose Modesto is 46 years old, is a teacher and was deputy governor of Mato Grosso do Sul from 2015 to 2019. She previously commanded the state secretariat of Human Rights, Social Assistance and Labor. Elected federal deputy with the most votes for Mato Grosso in 2018, with more than 120 thousand votes.
