The Superintendent of Insurance, Julio César Valentín Jiminianagreed with the Dominican Association of Professional Insurance Agents and Promoters (Anaprose), to maintain an “open door” policy that promotes the streamlining of procedures and the adaptation of regulations, in order to promote transparency, efficiency and dynamism in the sector. insurer.
This was stated by Valentín during the first formal meeting with Anaprose, in which some of its directors participated, including Luis Tomás López, president; Junior Abreu, vice president; Khouris Henríquez, advisor; Aníbal Cuevas, secretary of the organization; and Marcelina Batista, secretary.
Valentín emphasized during the meeting that the Insurance Superintendency firmly believes in openness, “in a strong State that fulfills the functions of a regulator, but not an obstacle. And, for that, there must be interaction.”
For this reason, it reaffirmed its commitment to continue the dialogue with Anaprose, especially in the training and professionalization of agents and brokers, in the regulation of aspects that the current law does not contemplate, and in the streamlining of processes to promote greater efficiency. transparency, and further guarantee the rights of policyholders.
