Mexico updates its program for issuing external debt

Recently, other countries updated their respective programs with the SEC in the same way. Panama, Brazil and Chile are examples of countries that have recently updated their amount registered with said regulatory body.

The federal government, through the Ministry of Finance, reaffirms its commitment to using external credit as a merely complementary source of financing, which will be used only when attractive cost and risk conditions can be obtained, as long as it is found within the external debt ceilings authorized by Congress, the SHCP said.
