From this October 5the lanes for private vehicles of the Caracas Avenuebetween the 57th and 67th streetswill be closed in order to provide continuity to the works of the Line 1 of the Bogotá Metro.

This closure facilitates the circulation of buses TransMileniotaking into account that preliminary works are being carried out in the central lanes, to later give way to the construction of the viaduct.

To inform users of this route and facilitate their mobility, there will be staff of the Civil Agents Group, Guide Group and the Culture for Mobility team of the District Mobility Secretariat. Additionally, the corridor will have the respective detour signage to guide drivers.

Below are the detours enabled for private vehicles:

North – south detours

If you travel along Caracas Avenue from north to south, you must take Carrera 19 at Calle 80, then the race 19A to 61st street where following the signs you can take Highway 18 and continue this way towards the south of the city.

If you move through the 80th street from west to east can take the race 24 south to reach the transversal 25 and thus continue along this road towards the south of the city.

(Further: Nearly 3.3 million passengers will travel by plane during the school break).
