Dina Boluarte sends a notarial letter to Henry Shimabukuro and asks to be retified for an alleged gift from Andrés Hurtado

President Dina Boluarte sent a notarized letter for Henry Shimabukuro to rectify his statements within 48 hours in which he hinted at a closeness between Andrés Hurtado ‘Chibolín’ and the head of statepointing out that he would have received gifts and a suit from the former television host.

“I am writing to you, hereby, to express my most energetic rejection of the content and defamatory facts indicated for the Television Program “It Happens Now” on ATV, broadcast on October 2 of this year, where you stated that my person would have received gifts from the Peruvian citizen Andrés Hurtadoamong them, the yellow suit that I wore at the inauguration ceremony of the position of Constitutional President of the Republic of Peru,” the letter reads.

The president described these accusations as “irresponsible and biased” and denied having received any other goods (watches, bracelets or chains) from Hurtado Grados and asked Shimabukuro to rectify himself. “In this sense, and because the statements that you have made in the aforementioned television program are false, I request its rectification within 48 hoursOtherwise, I will be forced to initiate the corresponding civil and/or criminal actions,” she added.

This 4-page document has been issued by Dina Boluarte after Henry Shimabukuroformer presidential advisor to Pedro Castillo, said that Andrés Hurtado would have given her a suit and “other things—such as details—for assuming the position of president.”
