Judicial Reform adds 71 ​​protections; only Judiciary plans to comply with suspension

Deputies anticipate contempt

According to the National Action Party (PAN), there are at least 71 amparo lawsuits against the Judicial Reform, so more orders from judges and magistrates would be expected to stop the organization of the election, which is why it requested the INE to comply with the orders. .

This was rejected by Morena’s deputy, Sergio Gutiérrez Luna, Morena’s representative before the INE, who warned the PAN that by law the parties are prevented from intervening in the judicial election.

Regarding whether the Chamber of Deputies, which together with the Senate received the judicial order to suspend any activity aimed at approving the secondary laws provided for in the Judicial Reform, until the amparos are substantively resolved, deputy Sergio García Luna anticipated that they would not. they will do it.

“Since the first suspension came, the one in Chiapas and the one in Morelos, the decision was made not to recognize the competition. It simply does not apply to us,” Morena’s representative also assured the INE, who pointed out that it will not have to abide by any suspension either, so the election process remains firm.

For his part, Ricardo Monreal, coordinator of the Morena deputies, announced that this weekend they will conclude draft initiatives for secondary laws on the Judicial Reform.

These are the reforms to the Law of Electoral Institutions and Procedures, in addition to changes to the Law of the Judiciary or the Organic Law of the Judiciary and the Law of Means of Challenge, in addition to modifications to the Organic Law of Congress.

“The election of magistrate judges and ministers is not going to stop, we are about to conclude the secondary laws so that the rules of the election can be specified, but also the norms that will regulate the new institutions that arise from the constitutional reform already in force. “Monreal explained.
