The President will announce a support and investment plan for Science and Technology

The President will announce the support and investment plan for the National Agency for the Promotion of Research, Technological Development and Innovation.

On Wednesday, President Alberto Fernández will lead the announcement of the support and investment plan for around 15 billion pesos this year for the National Agency for the Promotion of Research, Technological Development and Innovation (R+D+i Agency), reported official sources.

The activity will take place at 11:30 a.m. Zero + infinity from the University of Buenos Aireslocated in Ciudad Universitaria in the city of Buenos Aires, and the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Daniel Filmus, and the head of the R&D Agency, Fernando Peirano, among other officials, will also participate.

The plan that the Head of State will present tomorrow will begin to be executed with the award of 6,000 million pesos to projects that will be carried out in scientific institutions and universities throughout the country.

It also promotes actions aimed at small and medium enterprises and technology initiatives that can provide solutions to the structural problems of social and economic development, informed the Presidency.

The R+D+i Agency has more than 8,000 projects underway with these characteristics and is preparing to accentuate its role at a time when the economy is recovering and science is regaining a priority role for the State, the sources indicated.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, at 4:00 p.m., the President will receive the Governor of Tierra del Fuego, Gustavo Melella, in his office at the Casa Rosada.
