The Government announced the closure of the former Ciccone and the restructuring of the Mint

He Government Argentine government, led by President Javier Milei, has made a significant decision regarding the restructuring of the Mint and the definitive closure of the former Ciccone Calcografía, now known as Compañía de Valores Sudamericana.

This measure of Government was announced by presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni during a press conference at the Casa Rosada on Thursday. Adorni explained that the Mint, a state printing company in charge of manufacturing banknotes, passports, car license plates and stamps, has been identified as an entity with “severe inefficiencies.”
