The president of the republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting at the Miraflores Palace with the Ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon in Venezuela, Elías Lebbos, to whom he ratified his support for the people of Lebanon in the face of the genocidal attacks perpetrated by the State of Israel. .
During the cordial meeting, Maduro denounced the extermination operation that Israel maintains in Gaza and has now taken it to Lebanon, where more than a thousand people have already been murdered and a million have been displaced by brutal aerial bombardments.
At the meeting, the national leader analyzed the economic and geopolitical situation together with the Lebanese diplomat, while offering help to the government and people of this Middle Eastern nation.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who also participated in the meeting, said that “a large humanitarian aid brigade will be organized, the Arab community in Venezuela will be summoned to try to contain the Israeli aggression through diplomatic means.”
He commented that with “solidarity and action in the diplomatic field and with humanitarian aid,” it is the only way to stop these actions of the “genocidal government of Israel.” For this reason, Venezuela will propose before international bodies a global mobilization in repudiation of Zionist violence.
“Since Adolf Hitler, humanity has not experienced a genocide like the one Israel is carrying out,” said Chancellor Gil, while adding that this has been possible with the support of Western powers.
“The US and some countries in the European Union support these Nazi actions, but we are sure that sooner rather than later, this Netanyahu regime will be condemned,” he stated.
For his part, the Ambassador of Lebanon in Caracas, Elías Lebbos, celebrated the solidarity of President Maduro with Lebanon and with all the Venezuelan people.
“One is very hurt by what is happening, but when speaking with President Maduro one comes away happy because he is willing to help the people of Lebanon and the Lebanese government,” he commented.
At the meeting with the president and the ambassador, the first combatant, Cilia Flores, Foreign Minister Yván Gil and the Vice Minister for Asia and the Middle East Tatiana Pugh were also present.
