Luis Carlos Velez announced this Thursday, October 3, that he is leaving the direction of La FM after being in charge of the microphones of the station that belongs to RCN for seven years.

Vélez said goodbye to listeners and his colleagues early in the morning with a message of gratitude for the time he spent on the air. The 46-year-old journalist said that he will work at La FM until next Tuesday, October 15 and that after his departure he will dedicate some time to his family, made up of his wife, Siad Char, and his two children.

“I’m leaving on the best terms”stressed the journalist who has appeared on RCN, Univisión and other television channels in Colombia and the United States, about the decision that he made known to his superiors at the station.

The departure of Luis Carlos Vélez from La FM comes days after the criticism he received from Caleños and social media users for undermining COP16, an environmental event where world leaders will meet to discuss biodiversity issues. , which will take place from October 21 to November 1 in the capital of Valle del Cauca.
