In the country there are various types of pensions which can be accessed, such as the Universal Guaranteed Pension (PGU). However, it is not the only one currently available.
For example, it was recently learned that the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boricwill grant what is known as a grace pension. Below we explain what it is about and how to request it.
What is the grace pension?
In short, the grace pension is a monetary benefit provided by the President of the Republic. It is worth clarifying that the grace pension can be collected for a defined period of time or throughout life.
How do you request the grace pension?
In order to request the grace pensionthe interested party must meet at least one of these requirements:
- Having provided distinguished services or having carried out especially meritorious acts, for the important benefit of the country.
- Having suffered an accident or catastrophe, and justifying why the pension should be granted.
- Finding themselves incapacitated or with serious and insurmountable difficulties in carrying out paid work, which allows them to subsist and that of the family group that lives at their expense, due to illness, disability, old age or any other duly justified cause.
- Be affected by other special and duly substantiated situations that warrant the delivery of this benefit.
Where is the grace pension requested?
The grace pension It is requested in the following places:
- The Gracia Pension Department Unit of the Undersecretariat of the Interior (located at 1235 Agustinas Street, 5th floor, Santiago).
- Regional or provincial presidential delegation.
In both places you must submit a letter directed to President of the Republicwith the address Palacio de la Moneda s/n°, and you must also explain the reason for the request, that is, why you need the pension.
In that same letteryou will have to clarify the following personal data: full name, RUT, telephone, email and address (street, number, commune and region), photocopy of your identity card, health certificates, payment slips for electricity, water, etc. .
