The First Control Court of Trujillo issued a sentence of 15 years and 6 months in prison for Martin José Marín Mambel (48), after admitting his responsibility for the sexual abuse of a 13-year-old teenager, a fact detected on February 18 of 2024 in the El Progreso parish, La Ceiba municipality of Trujillo state, the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
In the early hours of that day, the attacker, who lived at the residence, lay in a hammock with the victim, stripped her of her clothing and abused her.
Subsequently, the mother woke up, approached the place and realized that the man was sleeping next to the young woman, so she reported the situation to regional police officials, who arrested him and placed him under the jurisdiction of the Public Ministry. .
During the preliminary hearing, the 9th prosecutor’s office of that jurisdiction ratified the accusation against the man currently convicted of the crime of continued sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim, the statement says.
