Santo Domingo.-Merengue singer Raffy Matías died this Wednesday night, reported people close to the singer.
Raffy Matías, who had been in poor health for some time, died from lung, stomach and colon complications while receiving care at the CMV clinic in the province of La Vega, in the north of the country.
The renowned Dominican artist became known at the end of the 90’s with the group La Clase. The song “I want to know about you” was his springboard to connect with the public and then hit other songs such as “Now that you are leaving”, “Amor help me”, “But mother”, among others.
For now it is not known where Matías’s remains will be buried or the day the funeral will take place.
