The 2nd Trial Court of Anzoátegui sentenced Asdrúbal Martínez Morffe (58) to 16 years in prison for his responsibility in the sexual abuse of his 2-year-old niece, an event that occurred on February 18, 2022 in Aragua de Barcelona (Anzoátegui), reported the Public Ministry.
On the aforementioned day, the girl went for a walk in the Barrio Ajuro sector with her maternal uncle near her residence. When she returned home, her mother observed her and noticed that she was a little nervous and restless.
Later, he asked her what was wrong and the victim told her that her uncle had touched and pinched her private parts, which is why the mother went to the regional police headquarters to report what happened.
Given this situation, the aggressor was arrested that same day and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
During the trial, the 23rd Prosecutor’s Office of the aforementioned jurisdiction ratified the accusation against Martínez Morffe for the crime of sexual abuse without penetration.
