More complaints in the Santa Cruz municipality. The councilor for the Autonomous Community (CA), Juan Carlos Medranoaccused in the last hours of Tuesday Franz Coscio, close to Mayor Jhonny Fernándezfor allegedly falsifying his university professional degree to benefit from a hierarchical position in the commune.
“We went to the Gabriel René Moreno University to verify the veracity of this professional title and we were told that the title is false and that the registration number belongs to another person. We have obtained this information directly from Human Resources of the Municipal Mayor’s Office,” said the opposition legislator at a press conference.
Medrano showed documentation indicating that the signatures of the late former rector of the Uagrm, Saúl Rosas, of the general secretary and of a professional title that belongs to a professional who has the same registration were supposedly forged, to benefit Fernández’s close friend.
He assured that Coscio does not exercise a known function in the Fifth Municipalbut as advisor in the health area. “The documents indicate that the individual receives a salary of Bs. 15,000 when he does not have a title that endorses the position,” says Medrano.
Along these lines, he hopes that the state university file a criminal complaint against the person who is falsifying titles in favor of a person.
Who is Franz Coscio?
Franz Coscio Antelo served as director of Public Lighting in the management of Jhonny Fernández in 2023, being one of the men closest to the municipal authority’s cabinet.
He resigned from the position in March 2023 at the request of Jhonny Fernández, after he was reported for physical assault to a subordinate of his dependence. According to the statement, the victim was slapped in a meeting; Coscio was even recorded telling the professional that he came to work for political favors and not for merit.
“This work is political. Whoever wants this job has to go after hours, or they will be withdrawn and they will find a company where they will take it (…) This is political. You didn’t get in because you were a good professional, you got in because of politics, because of a doll, that’s why you got in, because you have a guarantee, not because you’re pretty, or because you’re intelligent. “You came in because of a favor they did you in giving you a job,” was part of the audio that was revealed on that occasion.
According to Medrano, Coscio was also deputy director of the Sur network and then advisor in the Health area. In most of the events where the municipal councilor, both official and from the UCS party, attended, Franz Coscío was seen very active and close.
