Communist Party of Spain stands in solidarity with the Revolutionary Government of Venezuela

The members of the Communist Party of Spain (PCE) showed solidarity with the revolutionary Government and the people of Venezuela, during an event that took place at the Rivas Vaciamadrid Fairgrounds, where the second day of the so-called party of this political organization took place. , in which thousands of militants and sympathizers of the left gathered.

The central speech of the 46th edition of the historic event was led by the general secretary of the PCE, Enrique Santiago, who dedicated his first words to sending his love to all the people who fight to build societies where justice prevails. “To the people of Syria, to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, to the people of Cuba, to Palestine, to the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic,” the leader specified.

During the development of his intervention, there was a second reference to Venezuela, related to the rejection of the political awning to the imposition of Unilateral Coercive Measures by the United States. “Imperialism continues to harass and attack all peoples who fight for their sovereignty and liberation. “The continued harassment of Cuba and Venezuela through the intensification of illegal sanctions that harm the people of these countries.”

Prior to Santiago’s words, the political secretary of the Union of Communist Youth of Spain (UJCE), Jesús Rodríguez Rojo, condemned the intervention in the internal affairs of Venezuela, while denouncing all imperialist practices. “We strongly condemn any interventionist attempt in this regard. We say it without ambiguities and without half measures, all our support to the people of Venezuela and Cuba who today remain dignified in the face of the siege of capital.”

“Never more fascism and never more war. We stand in solidarity with all the women who suffer from them. With the Palestinians who suffer a genocide, the Sahrawis who suffer occupation and violence, the Cubans and Venezuelans who suffer economic blockades and imperialist interference that seek to suffocate their lives,” said the representative in the party’s feminist area, Cristina Simón Álvarez. .
