In the last audio that Humberto Ortega Saavedra (HOS) managed to send, on June 9, to the media Confidencial, from his house-prison, he declared himself a political prisoner of the regime of his brother and sister-in-law, although he does not mention them, and warned that, if he continued to be deprived of his freedom, his life was in serious danger, to the point of ending in a “fatal outcome,” but the tyrants decided to ignore him.
In a display of total contempt for the life of the retired general, the dictators Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo closed their ears to the clamor of HOS to allow him to receive medical assistance in a timely manner and that contempt ended the commander’s life. Sandinista, who finally died in a room of the Military Hospital, isolated, incommunicado and without his family being able to assist him in his last moments.
That audio message was sent from a hidden phone that he had managed to hide in the residence where he was being held hostage by the repressive forces of the dictatorship, and that Confidencial kept, at the request of the now deceased former military man himself.
This message was the basis for a note released by that media outlet, keeping the origin of the information and warning of the serious risk of death that HOS ran if he continued being kidnapped.

Army General Ortega died this September 30, and after his death, in another act of cynicism, the government spokesperson and vice-dictator Rosario Murillo, who together with her husband, the dictator Daniel Ortega, kept the retired military man deprived of liberality, He declared himself “sad” about the death of the brother-in-law with whom he never got along.
Murillo even said that the Government chaired by her husband and she recognizes the career and contributions of the late soldier, whom they themselves called a traitor a few months ago and hastened his death by giving him house arrest.

My home and Protection Unit have been invaded and closed by dozens of units and special troops of the National Police with weapons of war, and the head of the Unit (protection), retired Colonel Johnson Laínez and wife, reported missing.
I am prevented from visiting, including those from my close relatives. I am totally isolated, without telephone, computer, radio or television. I have hidden this (telephone) that I use for emergencies. My medical treatment at the Vivian Pellas private hospital is prevented.
