Maduro on Pegasus: With that team they prepared terrorist raids against Venezuela

“Behind all this are: the United States, the paramilitaries and the extreme right,” said the first national leader.

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro asserted that the Israeli-origin Pegasus software was used by former Colombian President Iván Duque “to spy in Colombia, Venezuela and beyond.”

“He paid that with money from drug trafficking, a little more than 11 million dollars,” the first national president detailed this Monday during broadcast No. 59 of the Con Maduro+ program.

“With that equipment they prepared terrorist raids against Venezuela and they continue to use it, because behind all this there is a plot, a conspiracy against the Bolivarian Revolution,” he denounced.

Maduro noted that Pegasus is still used: “These are two pieces of information that have been publicly stated from Colombia. Iván Duque has not denied it. He simply has his hands full of the mud of corruption.”

The Venezuelan head of state stated that with this spyware “it is demonstrated that those who want to bring violence to Venezuela are in alliance with the Colombian and Venezuelan extreme right; It is the same one that has plans to overthrow Petro.”

“Behind all this are the United States, the paramilitaries and the extreme right. The Fascist International. That is the truth,” he argued.
