The Governor of Chihuahua, María Eugenia Campos Galvánannounced that during 2025 the state government will make a historic investment of 1,000 million pesos in support of more than 20,000 agricultural producers who have been affected by the lack of rain in the entity.
According to local information, during his intervention in the session of the State Water Councilheld at the Government Palace, reaffirmed its commitment to accompany the Chihuahua countryside, for which actions will be carried out to generate infrastructure and strategies that guarantee the protection of agricultural cycles.
He affirmed that his government, in the work it carries out for the Budget planning 2025contemplates this investment to contain, prevent and mitigate the effects caused by water scarcity in the main dams of the entity.
This figure, he added, represents an unprecedented increase to meet the needs of food producers such as beans, corn and alfalfa.
During the meeting, state authorities, academics, heads of water bodies and experts committed to finding the routes and actions to deploy this investment assertively.
“It is a phenomenon that affects and hurts us all, and we all have to face it together, each person from their own trenches. Coordinated and common work is the hallmark of this government, and we will do so to confront the problems,” the president concluded.
